Meet
the team
Dr. Rajani Sanivarapu is a Family Physician. She did her medical training in India and family practice training in Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. She has been practising Family Medicine in Canada for over 10 years and has been working in Abbotsford since 2015. She is interested in preventive primary care, Diabetes and women’s health. She believes that prevention is better than cure. She enjoys outdoor activities like walking, hiking, and skiing.
Dr. Jagjit Kaur Padda MD FRCPC ABIM has joined Newgen Medical Center practice in Surrey and Abbotsford. She was born in Victoria, B.C. and raised in Vancouver.
Dr. Padda completed her Internal Medicine training and Endocrinology and Metabolism fellowship in the United States. During her training, she has been to various institutions across the US and was involved heavily in research leading to many publications in the areas of endocrine disorders. Subsequently Dr Padda practiced Endocrinology in Ontario for four years before moving back to BC. Furthermore, she has been actively involved in research as well as providing talks for physicians during her practice. Dr. Padda is currently providing care for patients with emphasis in areas of diabetes, thyroid conditions, bone health, lipids and obesity, women’s and men’s reproductive health as well as pituitary and adrenal disorders.
Dr.Alaa Elkhider completed her Rheumatology training in University of Kentucky, USA. Prior to that she completed her internal medicine training and Geriatric fellowship training in Wayne state university/Detroit medical center in USA. In addition to her medical training she holds a diploma degree in Medical therapeutics from Cardiff University, UK and a Diploma degree in research & biostatistics from University of Medical sciences and technology. She is a fellow of the Royal college of physicians & surgeons of Canada and is a member of the American college of Rheumatology. Dr.Elkhider has a special interest in an integrated model of care for patients with arthritis and autoimmune illnesses.
